Queen's Jubilee
We held an event in May 2022 to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Prior to the event, we put together a Platinum Jubilee Party Pack. This pack contained ideas to make successful street parties, activity suggestions and decoration templates.
We ran a free arts and crafts session where people could make decorations for street parties. We were also on hand to provide help and support to enable people to plan parties.
We gave away prizes to those who could make the longest paper chains. We were very impressed with the winners!
Congratulations to residents of Moreno Way/Beedon Way and Longster Road/Knott Drive who won the ‘Best Dressed Jubilee Street Party’ competition during the Jubilee Weekend itself!
