Sustainable Stoneham Community Cooking
Part of the Sustainable Stoneham initiative
North Stoneham Community Group runs community cooking sessions that help bring people together, encourage sustainable living and support community wellbeing through shared cooking and food education activities.
The sessions provide opportunities for residents to learn practical cooking skills, share ideas, reduce food waste and build confidence in preparing affordable and nutritious meals in a welcoming community environment.
Why We Run Community Cooking Sessions
Our cooking sessions are designed to support both the local community and more sustainable use of food resources.
Through practical cooking activities, we aim to encourage people to make use of surplus and everyday ingredients, reduce unnecessary food waste and develop skills that support healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.
The sessions also provide opportunities for people to connect with others, build confidence and take part in positive community activities in an inclusive and supportive environment.
